Nightswim 2008: A perfect night for Connaisseurs

30. August 2008, 8.45 PM: no comments necessary… it was just perfect! The water temperature of 21C was surprisingly cosy and for the first time ‘Waggis’ were served in our new ‘swimming bar’. Hey Studi, thanks again for being the bar keeper!

More pics follow.

Don’t get confused! Night != Day

In case you’re wondering, this is not the official Basel day Rheinswim.  That’s this for 2008.  Also enjoyable but not to be compared to the nighttime experience.  Nor is it the weekly Rheinswim, Tuesdays, starting from the Tinguely Museum.  However, that might be a good place to rack up some Rhein-time, a must to have before swimming at night.

How cold (or warm :) is that water?

Well, because this event is rather meant for ‘Connoisseurs’ than show-offs, we prefer water temps above 22 degrees as well as above 25 degrees air temps for nightswims. The decision when nightswims are taking place is based on our indefinite Basel weather experience and the following links you can check yourself (yeah, check yourself! :-):
